Isn’t it funny how your feelings about something can change so rapidly, although I cannot deny that this hasn’t happened before. I recall with embarrassment my enthusiasm for a Christmas of handmade gifts waning just as rapidly the Christmas before last. So in an effort to catch up on reverb I’m going to limit my responses to a single paragraph per prompt which absolutely no excuses.
December 16 – Friendship.
A colleague at work has become a cherished friend this year because of her straight speaking, no nonsense, straight down the line brilliant advice. She has a very strong sense of black and white morality which isn’t always in line with mine but her views are always invaluable in providing me with a fully rounded plan of action for proceeding forward.
December 17 – Lesson Learned.
I learnt about some recurring patterns of behaviour this year that has been incredibly illuminating and I think that simply being aware of how you are behaving is the biggest step to changing behaviour.
December 18 – Try.
Blogging would be the easy answer to that but I would also like to craft enough lovelies for a craft stall in 2011. And after a single skiing lesson in November I am incredibly excited about trying it a great deal more next year.
December 19 – Healing.
I had a mole removed in February and the healing process did not go to plan at all. The wonderful nurses of the NHS healed me with some bright pink liquid and a plaster. It took about 4 weeks and I was so grateful for their work on me.
December 20 – Beyond Avoidance.
I should have got a job in London but I was scared that it would be hard because of the economic climate so I put it off because its easier to tell friends that you’ve not got a job because I haven’t applied for any than because I didn’t get any interviews. I absolutely will apply in the New Year, the situation necessitates it!
December 21 – Future Self.
Get on with it, do not hold back on acting while you work out the bigger plan or the finer details, you can work them out as you go along. This is the same advice I would offer myself 10 years ago too. I’m a procrastinator what can I say!
December 22 – Travel
This year I travelled in my car a lot, I’ll have reached 15,000 miles on my car by the start of 2011. I travelled abroad, to Paris, to Madrid and to Florida. I travelled around England seeing the Lake District and a bit more of Yorkshire. In 2011 I would like to take public transport over the car and travel on foot a whole heap more. I hope to travel around London to make the most of this new home of mine.
